Meet our Doctors
Dr. Joel Smith
Dr. Joel Smith was born and raised in southern Louisiana. He attended Louisiana State University for both undergraduate and dental studies (Go Tigers!). During dental school he had the fortune of leading multiple mission trips to the Dominican Republic and regularly volunteered at the local homeless shelters in New Orleans on the weekends to provide dental services to the underserved populations in the area, while also gaining invaluable experience.
Dr. Smith’s clinical philosophy is built on what his father once told him: “If you treat every patient the same, you treat every patient wrong.” Dr. Smith believes that each patient has a unique set of needs/wants both inside their mouth and in their life outside of the office. What works for one patient may not work for another. At Endeavor Dental Group, you can expect your unique set of needs and wants to be heard at your very first visit. Following that, Dr. Smith will develop a customized treatment plan tailored to fit YOU.
Following dental school, Dr. Smith moved to Reno, NV in 2019 to practice dentistry. While there he met his wonderful wife, Jaycee. Together they have two dogs, Keiva and Klifford, and hope to grow their family in the coming years. Dr. Smith is an avid skier and you can find him and his wife on the slopes just about any weekend during the winter months. During the summer, he and his wife enjoy anything outdoors with their dogs such as camping, hiking, and days on the lake.
Dr. Stephenson
Dr. Stephenson was born in Modesto, California and grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He attended the local schools there, where he excelled in academics. After graduating from BYU with a degree in genetics and biotechnology, he attended Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. Following dental school, he completed a four year tour of duty for the United States Army, where he practiced all aspects of dentistry, while serving his country.
Dr. Stephenson and his wife Kimberly have four children and are currently living in Chubbuck. They are excited about making a life here and becoming a valuable asset to the community. When Dr. Stephenson is out of the office, you can find him playing with his children, fishing, camping, fixing cars, building something, enjoying a good movie, or reading.
